Minx Bronzing Spray Tanning solutions are designed for ‘Prescriptive Tanning’ where we can tailor your tan based on your skin type. The collection of liquids are designed to make your skin darker by shades over a period of time giving you that golden glow you deserve, every tan, every time.
Average rinse times are 4-6 hours however if you like to sleep in your tans please let us know! The solutions are available in light, medium & dark.
Your spray tan needs time to develop, generally it is best to have your tan 1-2 days before a special event. If you have an event on a Saturday night for example, we would recommend tanning late on Thursday or early on a Friday.
Expect your tan to last for a minimum of 5 days, however for some skin types it can last upto 10 days – for best results please ensure you exfoliate 24 hours prior to your tan, and then maintain it with our recommended body wash, body butters and tan extenders. Please also note that swimming etc. will shorten the life of your tan.
Yes! DHA (the active ingredient) doesn’t penetrate the skin or enter the blood stream. If you are concerned about inhaling the solution, we can provide a mask for you to wear!
Please note, if you are currently breastfeeding it is best to wait until your tan has fully developed so that the solution doesn’t transfer onto your babies skin.
For the best results, we recommend skin to be thoroughly exfoliated prior to spraying. Exfoliating helps to remove any dead skin cells and enables the skin to absorb the tanning solution more effectively and evenly. We recommend the use of our Sunescape Tan Removal Mitt.
Hair removal should be done a minimum of 24-48 hours prior to spray tanning. Waxing should never be done straight after a spray tan as this will remove the tan.
Wash your hair, followed by your body, ensuring all residue from shampoo/conditioner is rinsed off.
For best results, it is important that skin is dry and free from any oils, moisturisers, makeup and deodorant. Tans work best on dry, unperfumed skin.
Wear loose dark clothing to avoid staining clothes & creating tan lines.
Remove jewellery.

Please rinse your skin at the time we recommend.
Rinsing should be quick, starting with your legs first until the water runs clear, and then the rest of your body until the water runs clear. Do not use any body wash or shampoos. Pat skin dry gently without rubbing.
Do not urinate in the shower as this will be super obvious on your skin as your tan develops (streaking down the legs!) – yep, we totally went there!
After rinsing, your tan may look as though it has “washed off”, please note this is just the bronzer, and your tan will still continue to develop.
When you shower, try to pat skin dry rather than rubbing with your towel.
Avoid supermarket body washes as these contain the ingredient “sodium laurel sulphate” which strips your tan, instead we recommend using our Minx Tanning Body Wash which is pH balanced and prevents your skin from drying out.
Avoid prolonged swimming in chlorine/saltwater pools and spas, excessive exercise and sweating; this can cause the tan to fade faster. We recommend moisturising morning & night and using our tan extenders to get the longest possible duration out of your tan.
